The Sahrs for the Porch Project - Photographing a commmunity impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Michelle (51), Tim (51), Meghan (23), Nate (21), and Abby (18)

I had to revamp how I was going to reach customers since we were mandated to shut down to in store sales.  I already had a robust website at Off the Wagon, but was missing a lot of the merchandise on the site that we sell in the store.  My staff and I have been working hard getting that merchandise on the site, shipping orders and delivering puzzles, games and Easter items to local customers.

Our Cheese store, Kent Cheesemonger is open, with limited hours.  We also started delivering there and offering curbside pickup.  Customers are excited to be able to have a cheese tray and some wine delivered to their home.

Nate is studying at media science (sound engineering) at Ohio University and is currently living in the basement while he completes his classes online.  He really was hoping to travel and see his girlfriend in Chicago but that isn't going to be possible for a while now.

Abby's school is also cancelled.  She attends Happy Day, the Portage DD school. Abby has Ring Chromosome 20 syndrome and struggles with seizures and delays.  Now Abby isn't able to get the therapies she was receiving during school which is a particular challenge because she was really making progress in some areas.  In the meantime we have had a lot of good cuddles and have enjoyed spending more time with both Abby and Nate.  We've been playing board games and ordering from the local restaurants that offer delivery and eating too much.

Nate and Abby ran a fever early last week, but no other symptoms.  We have been confining ourselves inside and have our oldest daughter Meghan (who doesn't live with us) delivering any groceries we need.  Thankfully we have a great staff and they continue to take care of the stores while Tim and I work remotely.
